Easy crafts to do with kids for Easter!

Your kids want to make a craft for Easter, but you don't have any supplies?  Look in your kitchen/bathroom cabinets for this chick in an egg.

Materials:
Half of an egg shell
cotton ball or yellow fluff (easter basket filling)
2 peppercorns
orange construction paper
school glue

Second craft I made on my sewing machine, but kids could help with the stuffing.  It's a sock bunny!

Material:
One new sock
matching thread and thread for eyes and nose
ribbon
stuffing
scissors: cut sock about 3 to 4 inches from the heel depending on how tall your sock is.

Soft lovie with loops.

A lot of children enjoy a soft blanket and many like to take the blanket with them everywhere.  Here is a solution (well hopefully).  I used fleece and made a small little blanket for babies or kids to take with them while away from home.  The loops are so you can add it to a clip or ring, and it wont get lost.  It's my version of the taggies.  Size 12x10, with four loops.

Woke up to a light snow, but was able to make more crafts!

I started off my evening by making headbands.  I have not had much luck with the glue gun, mostly because after a few wears it tends to fall apart.  So, I decided I was going to go out and buy SUPER glue.  Let's just say it was an experience.  Not only did I spill some of the super glue on my mat board, but I got it all over my fingers.  Thank goodness I kept my fingers apart or I would have had a real mess on my hands.   So, finally after washing my hands forever, using nail polish remover, and a filing board I'm mostly glue free.  And...here are all my new baby headbands!
I also made a size 4T-5T bandana dress with straps and a fun hem.  Perfect for the beach or a day at the park.  Along with a cute black and white skirt made from a bandana!  If you would like to make one of your own let me know and I can email you the instructions.  Or place an order and include what color and the length and waist size you prefer for your little one.

Want to personalize your child's room? Here is a quick and easy way to do so!

3- 8x10 frames with glass removed.  I used the backing of the frame to glue (craft glue) on my fabric and wooden letters that I painted black.  After the paint was dry, I hot glued two different size white buttons to each letter.  Then hot glued to fabric.  I used a staple gun to attach my ribbon (decoration only) and a finishing nail to hold up the ribbon.  Frame is actually hanging on the wall with a saw tooth fastened to frame itself.  If you wanted to use your child's full name, I would just use smaller frames.  Post your project here!

Spring is in the air! Want to make your own wreath?

Super easy and fun door wreath.  I went to Hobby Lobby and picked out a grape vine wreath.  The went to  the silk flower area and found my favorite springtime flowers in bright colors.
Materials:
wire cutters
glue gun
green enameled floral wire 24 gauge
grape wreath any size
silk flowers to fill the whole wreath

Take flowers and leaves off stems.  Arrange flowers and leaves together, secure with hot glue gun and wire.  Once you have all your flowers together arrange onto wreath and secure each flower with wire, wrapping around the wreath and twist tight.  Add ribbon if you like and floral wire loop in the back to hang!  Happy crafting, post pics if you make one!  Any questions please ask I would love to help.  Project took me around 5 hours to complete.
